Welcome/Announcement
We are having gorgeous weather
where I live. For several years we have been
in drought conditions, but recently we received
a lot of rain. Everything is so green and
beautiful. God is THE artist and I’m
enjoying his masterpiece, the created world.
Welcome to all the new CWMs who have joined
our community. We have new people joining
almost daily. Be sure to check out www.christianworkingmom.com
for all the ways you can participate.
Stay tuned to your email for an important
announcement coming soon. A project I have
literally worked on for six years or more
will finally be born (a very long pregnancy).
I will let you know when it is finally ready.
Would you like to celebrate you being a CWM?
Check out www.zazzle.com/cwmcoach*
and find CWM T-shirts, aprons, key chains
and more.
CWM on Facebook
I have slowly become involved
in the social networking site Facebook. I
started a CWM group on Facebook. So, if you
are on Facebook please join and we can actually
see what one another looks like. I have posted
a few topics to discuss as well. Go to www.facebook.com
and search for Christian Working Mom Group.
When you find our group you will see a symbol
that says God (hearts) CWMs. (Blue background
with red heart)
Blog/Online Bible Study

in CWM is to visit our CWM blog. You can find
it at http://christianworkingmoms.blogspot.com.
You can post a question or give advice to
other CWMs. Please visit and discuss. We also
have an online Bible study that can be found
at http://cwmbiblestudy.blogspot.com.
Join with other moms who love to study God’s
Word.

Interview
I appreciate CJ taking time
out of her busy schedule to be interviewed.
CJ is a married 33 year old CWM who lives
in the United States. She has a daughter age
4, a boy age 2, and another boy that is due
to be here very soon. CJ works at a non-profit
focusing on organizational planning and strategy.
Let’s learn from what she has to say.
CJ shares the following joys
of being a Christian Working Mom:
• Reunion times with the kids are very
sweet
• I treasure and make the most of every
moment with my kids
• I have a job I love and that uses
my talents and gifts for God’s glory
• Being able to go to the bathroom without
company!
She struggles with the following
in being a Christian Working Mom:
• Having to say goodbye everyday
• Stress of carrying the financial burden
• Finding down time and connection time
with friends
• Having to let go – of my kids,
of a clean house, etc. and keeping God’s
priorities my priorities
CJ’s verse for 2009 is:
You go before me and follow me. You place
your hand of blessing on my head. Psalm 139:5.
God is teaching CJ the following:
• I am learning to let go of my fear
and trust. With baby #3 on the way I have
had many questions – how can I handle
this?! I am learning what it means to live
out freedom and new life in Christ so that
I am not held captive by my past, what I can’t
do, what I do wrong, etc.
Words of Encouragement for other
Christian Working Moms
• God loves us just the way we are.
Finding much relief in truly accepting myself
as God sees me. I don’t have to be a
superwoman.
• Every season for a reason.
My relationship with God and what I can and
can’t do will not always look the same
or what it looks like for others.
Anything else you would like
to share:
• Simplify, it isn’t all that
complicated. The most important things in
life are my relationship with God, family
and others. It’s been hard, but the
house doesn’t always have to be neat
and the laundry may stay in the basket for
a few extra days. But if my kids are loved,
happy and secure and I am listening to what
He is saying this is what truly matters.
CJ if you could see my laundry
basket right now, you would be pleased!!!
If I don’t fold clothes soon none of
us will have underwear. I love the Bible verse
you have for 2009, what comfort to know God
is in front and behind us. What a beautiful
picture.
Hope you have a day where God’s surprises
you with His beauty and His presence.
Till next time,
Kimberly M. Chastain
