Interview
Welcome/Need Your Help
How was your Christmas? Did
you have some time to relax with your children?
I hope so. I hope you were able to reflect
on the birth of our blessed Savior. I need
more women who are willing to be interviewed
for CWM. I promise it is practically painless.
If you are interested, send an email to me
at Kimberly@kimberlychastain.com
and put interview in the subject heading.
I will send you an email with the questions.
Would you like to see if other CWMs think
like you? Then, read the results of the survey

Challenge for the New Year
In my church we are being challenged
to read the Bible through this year. May I
encourage you to consider that as well? Do
not fret if you can’t do it in a year
and it takes two years. The important thing
is to be in God’s Word. You can go to
www.bibleyear.com
for various reading plans.

Listen to what one CWM says about CWM Coaching
Tips: “Thank you for the wonderful daily
coaching tips you send via email every day.
Your topics are always so timely, the focus
on one scripture a week is uplifting -- and
your personal message is just the finishing
touch. Thanks for providing something so meaningful!

Interview
I appreciate Danielle sharing
with us this month. Danielle is a married
34 year old CWM who lives in the USA. She
has a son age 10, a daughter age 8, and a
daughter age 22 months. Danielle is the Kids
Ministry Director at her church.
Danielle shares the following
joys of being a Christian Working Mom: I have
the joy of working in a Christian ministry
where I love working with kids and families.
I love being able to help those that are struggling
and love being able to teach kids the love
of Christ. I also enjoy contributing to our
family and feeling like I am making a difference
for the Lord.
Danielle struggles as a CWM
in the following areas: I can’t do it
all! I want to be more involved in the school
PTA and other activities with my kids but
I don’t have the time. I want to be
able to have girl’s nights out with
my friends, and I don’t get to very
often at all. I want to have more date nights
with my husband, but we don’t have enough
time. I miss being able to take a day at the
last minute and go to the park for hours.
My life revolves around a calendar and there
isn’t much wiggle room without letting
something else go.
Danielle’s favorite Bible
Verse is: Philippians 4:6 “Don’t
worry about anything; instead pray about everything.
Tell God what you need and thank him for all
he has done.”
God is teaching Danielle to
be patient and to wait on Him. We are struggling
financially and even though I love serving
in ministry I still desire to be at home more.
It simply isn’t an option now and that
is very hard to take at times. I am also experiencing
my grandmother’s failing health and
trying to help in her care in small ways.
God is reminding me about how short life is
here on earth and how we shouldn’t get
so wrapped up in the details.
Danielle would like to encourage
you by saying we are not alone. There are
times when we feel like it is us against the
world and that nobody understands. I know
what it feels like to think that just one
more stressful situation will put me into
a full-blown meltdown. God always provides,
He always keeps me going, He will not forget
me, and He will not leave me alone.
Anything else you would like
to share: I have people ask me all the time
how I do it? How do I work full time, go to
school, participate in kids’ activities
and be a wife and mother? I laugh because
I don’t have an answer other than taking
it a day at a time and praying that I can
be the best I can be. I just try to schedule
at least one time a week where my family does
nothing other than spend some time together
hanging out. That is what keeps me sane. There
are days where I love working outside of the
home and other days where I would give anything
to be able to have the option to not work
outside of the home. No matter what kind of
day I am having, I try to remind myself that
God knows the desires of my heart and is allowing
me to be in this moment so that I can learn
from it, grow stronger from it and be able
to minister to other women who might be feeling
the same way. The Lord has a plan for each
one of us and it can be easy to forget that
when all we want to do is sleep.
Thank you Danielle for reminding
us of God’s faithfulness. May He bless
you mightily in your position as the Kids
Ministry Director.
Final Thoughts
Believe me I know it is hard
to get time alone as a CWM. Do we even know
what it is? May I encourage you to get time
alone to think about your goals for 2010.
We will talk more about that in our January
issue. See you next year!!
