Goodbye for Now
I have had the pleasure and joy of visiting your email box monthly
and sometimes twice a month for at least 15 years now, maybe longer.
When I started Pearls of Encouragement for CWMs my children were
4 and 1. Now, my “babies” are 21 and about to be 18.
Wow has time flown by.
When I started the CWM website there were no resources for CWMs.
In fact, when I would google CWM nothing would come up in the search
engine. There were plenty of websites encouraging Christian Moms
to stay home with their children and lots of guilt heaped on you
if you worked outside of the home. I often felt alone and that no
one was speaking for CWMs. That is when the website was born. Now
there are numerous websites encouraging and supporting CWMs.
For now I have decided I will no longer be writing the monthly
email newsletters. You can find past newsletters here: http://www.kimberlychastain.com/newsletters/archives.htm.
God has raised up more women to speak encouragement and bring their
insights to the discussion.
I will always be thankful for the sisters in Christ I have met
“virtually”. I can’t wait to meet you one day
in heaven as we worship our Savior together. Please know my biggest
desire has been to point you to Christ and to His strength for our
daily lives. Every load of laundry, diapers changed, tears wiped
away, broken hearts mended, baths given, cold suppers you have eaten,
and many more things are acts of worship. When we serve our family
we serve God. God alone decided you would be the Mom for your children.
One of the blessed things I have learned as a Mom is that as our
children grow, we grow as parents as well. Be willing to share your
knowledge as a Mom to younger Moms. Let them know that one day you
will sleep through the night again and even be able to go to the
bathroom by yourself. As Christian Moms in Christ we are stronger
when we are together. Satan loves pitting stay at home Moms against
working Moms and at times he is quite successful. Let’s resolve
that as far as we are concerned we will encourage all Moms and lift
them up in prayers. We need to be prayer warriors for all of God’s
children (young and old).
Thanks for letting me visit your inbox all of these years. There
are several resources for you as a Mom at www.christianworkingmom.com.
I am now one of those “old” Moms who say you blink
and your children have grown up on you. I also vividly remember
the days where I couldn’t wait for them to be able to go to
the potty by themselves and thought it would never come. Enjoy each
stage of your children’s lives. They both have their own unique
joys and challenges. God is faithful in every detail of all our
lives. Goodbye for Now. Love you my sisters in Christ.
Till next time,
