Welcome – Need Your Help

Welcome to all the new CWM sisters from all over the world who joined our community this month. We are glad to have you. I always love the CWM interview, because we can learn from one another. Rashonda was willing to be interviewed this month and I appreciate her taking her time to share with us.

I need your help on two fronts. One I need more CWMs who are willing to be interviewed. I promise it is practically painless. I will send you the questions by email and you can answer as you have time. If you are interested send an email to Kimberly@kimberlychastain.com with Interview in the subject heading and I will send you the questions.

Secondly, you will see on the banner below I just released my book entitled, “The Voices of Christian Working Moms”. You can click on the banner to find out more information. I would appreciate your help in letting others know about the book. So, many of you have mentioned you feel there are no books for CWMs and now there is one for you. So, let your sister CWMs know about the book as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

Interview

Rashonda is a married 31 year old CWM who lives in the United States. She is an administrative assistant. She has two girls ages 9 and 13 and a son age 2 ½.

Rashonda shares the following joys of being a CWM: Spending quality time with my family having dinner (it is rare but I enjoy it when we can). Talking to my children about the issues of life for them and what they’re going through. When my children ask me things about Jesus and when we discuss it together and they come to conclusions on their own about how marvelous He is.

Rashonda struggles with: A feeling of disappointment when I not able to spend as much time at home to be a better mom for my children. Juggling home, wife, and parenting responsibilities and maintaining balance.

Her favorite Bible verse is: Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
I Thessalonians 5:16-18

God is teaching Rashonda not to give up; trust in Him because He is able. He is teaching me to be obedient and to surrender to His will. He wants me to remember to not neglect my time with him with busyness and the worries of this life, but to stay focus on Him that I may hear Him. He is teaching me that Praise is the remedy for depression. He is teaching me how to become a living sacrifice (so painful) I guess that’s where the trust comes in.

Words of Encouragement for other Christian Working Moms: It is impossible to follow God in your own strength. Never neglect intimate time for him. When the circumstances of life are ever changing, we are to draw nigh to God and depend on him, because He is the same forevermore. Set your priorities according to His word and let Him lead you in all things. Also, love the Lord with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength and your neighbor as yourself.

Rashonda the Bible verse you chose is a good one and one of my favorites as well. May we learn to rejoice always and pray without ceasing. Thanks so much for sharing.

Final Thoughts

Remember to have fun and laugh with your children. Laughter is good for the soul. Children seem to laugh much more than adults. We could learn a lot from them.

Till next time,
